Description

Class will begin at 6pm on January 4, 2021 via Zoom. 


Class will be held on Monday's and Thursday's starting at 6pm. Class will end between 8-9pm, with a few classes possibly ending after 9pm. 

Material/Supplies for the class include: 

  1. ASA's "The Pilot's Manual (PM 3) - Instrument Flying" (17th edition)  ($59.95) *
  2. IFR Plotter ($12.95)
  3. E6B Flight Computer ($12.95)

If you purchase all of the material, plus the cost of the course ($75), it will total roughly $200. I personally used the ASA Ground School (DVD) set for my IFR Rating and that course alone was $200, plus I didn't have the ability to talk to a CFI-I directly to ask questions. 

  *I'll be placing an order for books/supplies around 12/11/2020. If you want to save $ on shipping please let me know what you'd like us to order for you (book, plotter, E6B). 

** I would suggest purchasing the online version of ASA's Prepware. This will give you access to the software anywhere you have internet. Also, ensure you select the Instrument Rating when you register the product. 

The class schedule will be included in the first email, as an attachment. Some of the reading material might seem like it is a lot, but it isn't as bad as it seems. There are a lot of pictures/diagrams and IFR approach plates printed in the book, that eats up a lot of space.
