Have you been considering learning to fly, or obtaining your Instrument Rating or Commercial Certificate? Then an Introductory Flight in our Diamond DA40 is perfect! You'll get to experience taking the controls and see exactly what learning to fly is like. From takeoff to touch down, your Flight Instructor will walk you through all the steps and you can participate as much or as little as you like. The Introductory Flight is log-able instruction time, and a complimentary First Logbook is included with each purchase! If you're already a pilot and want to experience a Diamond DA40 for the first time, we'll be glad to introduce you to these amazing machines. Your Flight Instructor will gladly fill out your logbook after your flight.
If you are booking for a minor, then a DA40 Intro is a great option - a parent or guardian can accompany in the backseat.
You’ll be ready to start your journey to your Private Pilot Certificate once you experience the Freedom of Flight.

Cancellation/Change Policy
Call or text 678-506-1222 for any cancellations or changes. Weather, FAA, or other unexpected delays on the part of Dragonfly Aviation will not be subject to a cancellation fee, although we will do our best to offer a satisfactory rescheduling option. If you No Show or Cancel within 24 hours, no refunds will be issued. Cancellations outside of 24 hours are eligible for a refund or a reschedule.
Departure Airport: KWDR
Dragonfly Aviation is located in the main terminal building at KWDR, Barrow County Airport, in Winder Georgia. Please make sure to arrive by your scheduled start time. During college football season, UGA home games can have an adverse affect on traffic on Georgia Highway 316 Eastbound prior to kick off time, so please plan accordingly.
What to Wear
Dress comfortably, making sure to wear closed toed shoes (sneakers recommended). It is wise to avoid high heels and skirts as ingress and egress can be quite difficult to manage with modesty. Under no circumstances will you be allowed at the controls wearing flip flops or any sort of strappy sandals such as Tevas or Chacos. It is highly recommended that you have sunglasses at minimum and a hat if you so desire. We have buttonless hats available for purchase (check our add ons to prepay!) that will be much more comfortable under a headset than a standard baseball hat with the button at the top.
