The Garmin GNS 530 is a prototypical integrated avionics device. It is an all-in-one IFR GPS navigator, VHF COM radio, VOR/LOC/Glideslope receiver, and color moving map display, integrating crucial flight data onto a bright 5-inch screen for enhanced situational awareness. Learning how to use this device exposes one to common features and functions that are transferrable to many other similar devices throughout the industry. This workshop will introduce you to the GNS 530 and provide hands-on practice on our simulators.
