Day 1 Ground Lesson (4 hours)
Review of Principles of Flight and Basic Aerodynamics
Review of Stalls and Spin Awareness (PARE):
Power On Stalls and Power Off Stalls, Accelerated stalls and Cross-Controlled stalls
Trim-Stalls and Secondary Stalls
Review of Emergency Procedures:
Loss of Engine (Ground, on Takeoff and in cruise Flight)
Fires (Engine, Cabin, Electrical, Wing) and Electrical Failures
Oil Temperature/Pressure failures
Day 1 Redbird Full Motion FMX Simulator Lesson (4 hours)
Fly in a Piper Warrior (PA28-161) platform all Stalls/Spins and Emergency Procedures
Day 2 – Flight Sessions (two 2-hour flights) in either a Piper Warrior PA28-161 or a Cessna 172N
Perform all stall types
Perform all emergency procedures

Flight Academy is now offering a 2-day flight training min-course
centered on emergency flight maneuvers. This course focuses on teaching pilots how to handle in-flight
emergencies like stalls and spins, inadvertent flight into instrument meteorological conditions (IMC), unusual
attitudes, and engine failures, through practical and common-sense strategies. Also included is a review of basic
aerodynamics, stall/spin dynamics, and human factors and behaviors associated with aircraft emergencies.
The goal of this mini-course is to make General Aviation (GA) pilots safer through a refresher ground and flight
training program, on the use of emergency procedures checklists and improved aeronautical decision making.
This mini-course is ideal for both current flight students, and for rusty GA pilots who haven’t practice a lot of stalls
and emergency procedures in a while.
Primary seat requires at least 1 passenger.
Requires minimum 1 passengers and a max of 1 passengers.
