Your Pathway to Becoming a Pilot

Step 1 – Ground School & FAA Test Prep

Complete the Gleim Private Pilot Deluxe Training Kit and prepare for the FAA knowledge examination.

Step 2 – Flight Simulator Training

Build hands-on piloting skills through Mission Aviation Academy™'s structured Private Pilot Simulator Training Program.

Optional Complete Simulator Package: 26 Lessons / 27 Hours — $3,395

Step 3 – Actual Aircraft Flight Training

Transition into real aircraft with an FAA Certified Flight Instructor to develop practical flight skills.

Step 4 – Private Pilot Certification

Continue progressing toward solo flight, the FAA knowledge test, required aeronautical experience, and your Private Pilot practical examination.

FAA eligibility, minimum ages, endorsements, and flight experience requirements apply. Students may begin studying at age 12; the minimum age for a Private Pilot Certificate in an airplane is generally 17.

This is primarily an online course. In-person visits or training support should be scheduled in advance.

Important Course Information

This program provides Private Pilot ground school and FAA knowledge test preparation. It does not include aircraft flight lessons, simulator training, the FAA knowledge test fee, or a Private Pilot Certificate.

An FAA knowledge test endorsement, where applicable, requires successful completion of the appropriate training and eligibility requirements.
