Infinity Aero Club Tampa Bay, Inc., DBA Mission Aviation Academy™, offers a comprehensive Private Pilot Flight Training Program designed for youth and adults pursuing aviation careers, recreational flying, or professional pilot certification.

Our early-start aviation pathway allows students to begin structured flight training at age 14, progress toward their first solo, and pursue FAA pilot certification at the appropriate age.

FAA Pilot Training & Age Pathways

Motorglider / Glider Pathway

• Begin flight training: Ages 14+

• First solo: Age 14 (eligible glider-category aircraft)

• Sport Pilot–Glider Certificate: Age 16

• Private Pilot–Glider Certificate: Age 16

Sport Pilot – Airplane Pathway

• Begin flight training: Ages 14+

• First solo: Age 16

• Sport Pilot Certificate: Age 17

Private Pilot – Airplane Pathway

• Begin flight training: Ages 14+

• First solo: Age 16

• Private Pilot Certificate: Age 17

All solo flights require instructor authorization, demonstrated proficiency, and compliance with FAA regulations. Motorglider eligibility depends on the aircraft's FAA certification and category.

Your 50-Hour Private Pilot Training Package

Package Tuition: $13,955.65

Our comprehensive training pathway includes:

• 50 flight hours within the purchased training package

• One-on-one instruction with FAA Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs)

• Aircraft familiarization, preflight inspections, and flight fundamentals

• Takeoffs, landings, aircraft maneuvers, and traffic pattern operations

• Pre-solo training and first solo preparation

• Cross-country navigation and flight planning

• Emergency procedures and aeronautical decision-making

• FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test and practical test preparation

• Personalized training progress evaluations

First Solo Target: Approximately 10–15 flight hours, depending on individual readiness and applicable minimum age requirements.

Estimated Training Duration: 2–4 months with consistent flight training, subject to eligibility, scheduling, weather, and proficiency.

Understanding FAA Flight Requirements

The FAA requires a minimum of 40 flight hours for a Private Pilot Airplane Certificate under Part 61.

Our 50-hour package provides structured flight training toward that requirement. Some students may need 60–70 or more hours to achieve the proficiency required for their checkride.

Completion of the 50-hour package does not guarantee solo authorization or pilot certification.

Your Aviation Career Pathway

Early Flight Training → Motorglider Solo at 14 → Glider Pilot Certificate at 16 → Airplane Solo at 16 → Sport Pilot or Private Pilot–Airplane Certificate at 17 → Advanced Ratings → Professional Aviation Career

Students may follow the appropriate motorglider, Sport Pilot, or Private Pilot pathway based on their goals, eligibility, and available aircraft.
