Gliders

Configuration:

If you want to have no value to enter during check-in, like Total Hours, then add the aircraft Type as Other. Manage > Aircraft > +New Aircraft > Type – Other. When it’s configured like this charges will only be applied if you add an Item. Go to Manage > Items > +New Item. You could add items like Tow – 2000, etc. Then it will charge a flat fee for the flight.

If you want to record and bill off Total Hours then add the Glider as Type – Aircraft. Go to Manage > Aircraft > Settings tab > Change the hobbs to Total Hours > Save. Then go to Aircraft > All Aircraft > Tap one > Under Maintenance select the box that reads Only use 1 meter for billing and maintenance. Billing follows Hobbs and set the Tach and Hobbs to 0 or the same value. To charge customers add the hourly rate for the Glider. Manage> Aircraft > Tap one > Rate Setup tab.

Instructors – you can change the name (the name shown when creating a new reservation) by going to Manage > Instructor > Settings tab. You can change it to Crew, Pilot, or Instructor.

You can create “Instructors” and instead of a first and last name you could add something like “Tow Pilot” or “Ground Crew” to show on the schedule.

For pre-publishing events, schedules, or operation details, I’d suggest Dashboard.  It is like a “mini website” where you can build custom pages and upload files.  See Manage > Dashboard.  Learn more on that here.
