ASRS Reporting

Flight Circle can collect the details needed for a NASA Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS) report and lay them out so they are easy to copy into NASA’s online form.

Adding ASRS details

Open a report and select the ASRS Details tab. Members can also click ASRS Details next to their own report under Your Submissions.

The form starts with the fields most relevant to general aviation. Check Show all ASRS fields to see every field. Fields are grouped into Event Details, Airspace & Weather, ATC, Reporter Credentials, Operation, Route & Position and Safety.

Click Save ASRS Details to save your work.

Exporting for NASA

Click Export for ASRS to open the ASRS Report Reference page. Use Print / Save as PDF to keep a copy, and follow the link to NASA’s ASRS online form to file the report.

Your personal identification is not included in the export. Enter it directly on the NASA form.

Who can use ASRS details

  • The member who submitted the report.
  • Users with the Safety Reports permission set to View & Add Notes or higher.

ASRS details are not available for reports submitted anonymously.
